Hi!  I decided to move my blog to my website.  Please come on over for a visit.    Thanks so much!

Excited to be a part of The Art of Watercolor Exhibit at Kenmore City Hall.  Can't wait to see all of the work by the other artists.  So happy to have been accepted.

My last piece for Lilla Roger's Boot Camp.

Play Time

I am really loving diving in to new materials with collage.

Daring Adventures in Collage with Mati Rose

Here is my first collage.  I'm taking Mati Rose's class.  It's amazing and I am loving it!

Time to Dream

Time to Dream for Lilla Rogers Make Art That Sells Bootcamp.

Lilla Rogers and The Global Talent Search

I found out today that Lilla received 1500 entries from over 30 countries.  That makes me smile.  1500 people all over the world creating and making art.  That's pretty cool.  She narrowed it down to 50 finalists to move on to the next round.  Here is the entry I submitted.  The assignment was to create a journal using the theme, Vintage Playground.

Week 3 with Lilla

I can't even begin to express how wonderful Lilla Rogers class is.  She is truly an amazing person willing to share so much with us, the artists.  She is so positive and supportive.  The work we are sharing with each other is mind blowing.

This week we did a double page spread or a cover for the Hans Christian Andersen book, The Snail and the Rose Tree.  Snails are just way too fun to draw.  I decided to do the cover.  We also had to do our own hand lettering.  I learned so much this week and had a few PhotoShop breakthroughs.  Always a good thing.

First week with Lilla Rogers

I am so loving Lilla's class.  It is truly eye opening and she is so generous with her ideas and inspiration.  Having a blast!  Here is one of my first pieces titled Mama Mushroom.

New Store

I am very excited to be a part of So, There. So, There is a new gift store in lovely Issaquah, WA. They are opening this Friday during the Issaquah Art Walk. My note cards and wrapping paper will be in stock! I'm so happy to have been selected to join such an amazing group of artists!

And in other news, I took a very big leap of faith in myself today and joined a class I have been wanting to be a part of for a very long time.  I am a tad late to the party as it started on Monday, but thankfully they allowed latecomers a few days.  I joined Lilla Rogers Make Art That Sells.  I know so many artists have joined and the inspiration and talent is going to be phenomenal!  I can't wait to get all of the info so I can begin.

Illustration Friday - Wild

I have been practicing repeats. I thought of Illustration Friday as I was making Wildflowers.

Cotton Candy

I've been working on the imagery for this collection for awhile. So happy it all came together. I'm know there is a ton more I could do and try, but I'm pretty happy with it.

My studio

A friend of mine asked to see where I work.  I have many projects going right now so it's a bit cluttered with drawings and sketches, but I love it!  There is also a shot of the originals I did for the library.

Playing with words - King County Library

The artwork I did for the King County Library is out today. A good friend of mine took her boys to the library and she spotted my work. I wasn't quite sure when it was going to be out. I immediately stopped by my local library to see for myself. I'm excited because there are flyers, posters and it's on the website too. Here is a copy of the front of the flyer and a link to the site as well. I'm still very amazed I got to do work for the library. I've wanted to for a very long time. Happy day! Here is the link
